An agile, speedy, and spirited breed originally developed for horse racing but also commonly used in other disciplines such as show jumping, dressage, polo and fox hunting. All modern Thoroughbreds can trace their pedigree back to three stallions originally imported into England in the 17th and 18th centuries.
