Splendie spent a large proportion of her flight trapped under internal partitions of a collapsed airflight stall. A TB mare she was travelling with had colic and she managed to break the partition into the next compartment, who in turn (also with a TB mare) , collapsed into Splendies stall.

She was heavily in foal so it was a very worrying time for us but she held on to that foal until term.

However, I do think she was traumatised by it all as she cannot cope with enclosed spaces.

She is the dam of Wee Three Kings Carets, and half sister to illustrious superdam, Emerald Glenn ……..
